Julia Sherman

Julia Sherman serves as the Executive Director and Director of Education and Grants Manager at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival under the Big Sky Film Institute since September 2018. In this role, Julia coordinates educational outreach programs that connect filmmakers with local schools in Montana, aligning curriculum with film content to enhance students' understanding of filmmaking. Previous experience includes positions as a Media Information Specialist at the University of Montana, where Julia managed marketing initiatives for the Humanities Institute, and various roles at the Tribeca Film Festival and Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, focusing on operations and event logistics. Julia holds a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Montana.
