Carolyn Blankenship

Carolyn Blankenship serves as General Counsel and Secretary at BigBear.ai since March 2022. Prior to this role, Carolyn held several prominent positions, including General Counsel of Innovation & Product at Thomson Reuters from October 2008 to March 2022, where strategic advice was provided on innovation, litigation, and product development issues related to artificial intelligence, data ethics, and intellectual property. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and holding visiting lecturer positions at Princeton University. Carolyn's earlier career includes key legal roles at Reuters, Priceline, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Biology from Harvard University, a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and a certification in Artificial Intelligence from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
