Erik Seglem

Erik Seglem has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Erik started their career as a Geospatial Intelligence Specialist with the USMC in 2008 and served in this role until 2013. Following this, they joined DigitalGlobe as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer in 2013 and worked there until 2017. In 2017, they joined BigBear.io as a Technical Manager, and with the company's acquisition and rebranding as BigBear.ai in December 2020, they assumed the role of Principal, Cloud Architecture.

Erik Seglem has a diverse education history. Erik obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intelligence Studies and Intelligence Analysis from the American Public University System in 2014. Prior to that, they studied Computer Engineering at the DigiPen Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2008. Erik later pursued a Master of Science degree in Geoinformatics and Geospatial Intelligence at George Mason University from 2015 to 2017. Currently, Erik is working towards a PHD in Earth System and Geoinformation Sciences at George Mason University, which they started in 2017. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Erik has obtained certifications including Professional Cloud Solutions Architect from the Cloud Credential Council in 2020, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2018, and CISSP from (ISC)² in 2015.
