Greg Wharton

Greg Wharton serves as the General Counsel at BigID since July 2021, overseeing legal operations for a leading AI and data intelligence SaaS company recognized for its rapid growth and innovation. With extensive experience in law and consulting, Wharton has held various advisory and legal roles, including special operations advisor at Global Worldwide and advisor at Ziplines Education, where efforts focus on addressing workforce skill gaps. Wharton also served as the Mayor of City of The Hills, Texas, where a commitment to government transparency and community outcomes was demonstrated. Prior legal positions include General Counsel roles at KIXEYE and Rafter, Inc., and a tenure with the San Jose Police Department, highlighted by receiving the Police Medal of Valor. Wharton holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.S. from Boston University, graduating summa cum laude.
