Kelly Minks, M.Ed.

Kelly Minks, M.Ed. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education. Kelly is the Founder & CEO of Bilingual Bridges, a company they established in 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead ESL Teacher at Phalen Leadership Academies from January 2020 to August 2021. From August 2015 to June 2017, they served as a Lead ESL Teacher and Newcomer ELA Teacher at Indianapolis Public Schools. Kelly also worked as a Dual Language Teacher at Chicago Public Schools from August 2014 to August 2015. Kelly gained experience as an ESL Instructor at Lake Forest Academy from June 2012 to June 2015, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at DePaul University from August 2012 to August 2014. Kelly's international teaching experience includes working as an ESL Teacher at ILA Vietnam from November 2010 to April 2011, as an ESL Teacher at HABA School from March 2010 to November 2010, and as an ESL Teacher at CAIT Idiomas from April 2009 to March 2010.

Kelly Minks, M.Ed., has a diverse education background. Kelly earned their Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Sciences, from Oregon State University in 2007. Prior to this, they attended the University of the Pacific from 2002 to 2004, where they focused on International Relations and Mandarin Chinese.

In 2009, Kelly pursued additional education in ESOL teaching by obtaining a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge.

Kelly then completed their Master of Education in Bilingual Bicultural Education, along with a K-12 Teaching License, from DePaul University from 2011 to 2014.

In terms of certifications, Kelly obtained several qualifications from the State of Indiana in 2015. These include being certified as an ENL Teacher (K-12), Elementary Generalist (K-6), Language Arts Teacher (5-9), Social Studies Teacher (5-9), and Spanish Teacher (K-12).

Furthermore, in 2022, Kelly attended the ASU+GSV Summit as an attendee.
