Cari Tsinovoi, PhD MPH PMP

Cari Tsinovoi, PhD MPH PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Cari is currently working at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute as a Portfolio and Project Manager, where they manage global academic investigators and internal stakeholders to ensure timely milestones and deliverables. Prior to this, they were a Project Manager at the same institute, responsible for liaising with cross-functional teams and developing strategy plans and data analysis plans.

Before joining the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute, Cari worked as a Program Manager/Epidemiologist at the Indiana State Department of Health, overseeing a federal grant to enhance surveillance of viral hepatitis. During their time there, they supervised graduate student investigators and managed all grant deliverables.

Cari has also held roles at the Indiana University School of Public Health, including a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Assistant. Cari'sresearch as a Postdoctoral Fellow focused on investigating the role of trace elements in stroke development, while their role as a Research Assistant involved identifying new species of Plasmodium in orangutans and organizing various research projects.

In addition, Cari has experience in the medical field, having worked as a Senior Clinical Study Assistant in the Department of Neurology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Cari was responsible for participant recruitment and sample collection for research studies on the inter-relationship between reward centers of the brain, dopamine, taste, and aroma.

Cari's earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Associate at the Indiana University Center for the Business of Life Sciences, Research Assistant at the Indiana University Evolutionary Physiology and Ecology Laboratory, Assistant Instructor at the Indiana University Department of Biology, and Research Associate at the National Zoo - Smithsonian Institution. Cari also taught as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern Indiana and served as an Assistant Instructor at the Indiana University Department of Anthropology.

Throughout their career, Cari has demonstrated skills in project management, data analysis, research, and communication. Cari has experience in observational research, experimental design, biostatistics, data visualization, marketing, and teamwork across various industries including healthcare, academia, and zoology.

Cari Tsinovoi, PhD MPH PMP, has an extensive education history. Cari obtained their Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from the University of Southern Indiana in 2007. Following that, they pursued a Master's of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology at Indiana University from 2007 to 2011. Afterwards, they continued their studies at Indiana University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physical and Biological Anthropology in 2014.

In 2015, Cari Tsinovoi enrolled in Indiana University Bloomington and earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Epidemiology in 2018. Demonstrating their commitment to continuous learning and professional development, they obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2012, they completed a Certificate in the Business of Life Sciences from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Cari then acquired the Certified Clinical Research Professional designation from the Society of Clinical Research Associates in June 2014. Building on these qualifications, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2020.

In addition to their educational achievements, it is worth noting that Cari Tsinovoi demonstrated academic excellence during their high school years, as they obtained an Academic Honors High School Diploma from North Posey High School in 2002.
