Thomas A. Spaargaren

Thomas A. Spaargaren is an experienced professional in engineering and design, currently serving as the CAD Documentation & Capital Projects Coordinator for Billerud since June 2022. Previously, Thomas worked at Systems Control as an Engineering Protection & Controls specialist, where responsibilities included developing schematics and wiring diagrams. A significant portion of Thomas's career was spent at Honeywell UOP from 1987 to 2020, where roles ranged from Mechanical Designer/Specialist focused on ASME pressure vessels and piping to CAD Designer in PetroChemical Pilot Plant design. Thomas also held positions as a Training Development Specialist and Pilot Plant Operator during the tenure at UOP, which provided comprehensive insights into both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering. Early career experience includes serving as Facilities Maintenance Manager at Balbo Mobile Home Park, managing utilities for the community. Thomas's educational background includes studies at the College of DuPage from 1982 to 1985.
