Claus Hallas Nielsen

Claus Hallas Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Claus Hallas has worked as a Driftsdirektør/CIO at Auto IT since December 2013. Prior to that, they served in the military, beginning as a Private (værnepligtig) from February 1996 to November 1996. Claus Hallas then held roles of Lieutenant and Platoon Leader from March 1998 to July 1999. From August 1999 to August 2002, they worked as a First Lieutenant (reserve) in the military.

Alongside their military career, Claus has also worked in various technical roles. Claus Hallas was a Student Instructor (Advanced Object-Oriented Programming) at IT University of Copenhagen from August 2003 to July 2004. Claus Hallas then joined TietoEnator as a System Developer/Consultant from December 2005 to June 2007, focusing on portal systems development for hospitals and consulting work in healthcare.

In 2007, Claus joined Geodata Danmark as a Software Architect/Software Developer/Technical Project Manager. During their tenure, they worked on the web-GIS system NetGIS, including version management, code quality assurance, integraton with ESDH systems, deployment architecture, and refactoring. Claus Hallas also contributed to optimizing workflow and process specification for better organizational software relations.

In 2013, Claus briefly worked as a Software Developer at Orbicon, which had acquired Geodata Danmark. Claus Hallas then joined Auto IT as a Driftsdirektør/CIO, where they are currently employed.

Claus was also involved in entrepreneurial pursuits. In 2004, they co-founded and co-owned Xoccer, an online knowledge game about soccer, where they were responsible for all aspects of system development and operation.

Claus Hallas Nielsen's education history includes several degrees and training in various fields. Claus Hallas attended HTX, Teknisk Skole Ringsted from 1993 to 1995, where they earned a High School degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1997, they attended Hærens Sergentskole, Sønderborg, and became a Sergeant. Later that year, they also attended Hærens Logistikskole, Aalborg, and obtained a degree in Lieutenant.

In 1999, Claus attended EDB-skolen, Roskilde, and earned a degree in Datamatican, specializing in Computer Science. From 2001 to 2003, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Aalborg University. Then, from 2003 to 2005, they attended IT-Universitetet i København, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Development.

Finally, in 2011, Claus attended Hærens Officersskole and studied as a Captain until 2012.
