Hannu Turtiainen

Hannu Turtiainen has a diverse work experience that spans across different industries. Hannu is currently working as a Software and Cybersecurity Engineer at binare.io, an IoT cybersecurity company. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Jyväskylä from April 2020 to June 2021. Before pursuing a career in cybersecurity and research, they worked as a Warehouse Worker at Lidl Suomi for over 12 years, from September 2007 to March 2020. Hannu also briefly worked as a Research Scholar at Mectronic Oy from December 2011 to May 2012.

Hannu Turtiainen's education history begins with their completion of an upper secondary school program at the Upper secondary school of Suolahti from 2003 to 2006. Hannu then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electronics from JAMK University of Applied Sciences, which they completed between 2006 and 2012. Following this, Hannu Turtiainen enrolled at the University of Jyväskylä, where they obtained a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they are working towards a Doctor's degree in Software and Communications Engineering (Ph.D.) at the University of Jyväskylä, expected to be completed from 2021 to 2024.
