Paul Batty has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Paul began their career as a Software Engineer at Princeton Financial Systems, where they performed system analysis, produced technical documentation, and developed a 'Trade Order Management' system. Paul then progressed to become a Maintenance Team Leader, managing a team of programmers and introducing a 'Fix First Time' policy to reduce outstanding bugs. Paul later became an Applications Development Manager, overseeing enhancement projects and managing a team of developers across multiple locations. During their time at Princeton Financial Systems, they also developed a SharePoint site for company collaboration and created a Media-Wiki based knowledge repository as a proof of concept.
After leaving Princeton Financial Systems, Paul worked as a student at the University of Reading and later as a self-employed Software Architect/Development Manager at Open Source Alternatives, where they specialized in web and mobile solutions tailored to individual client requirements. Currently, Paul holds the position of Head of Business Analysis at Bink, a company focused on redefining loyalty through Payment Linked Loyalty technology. Paul is responsible for leading the business analysis team and ensuring the smooth implementation of Bink's vision. Overall, Paul's work experience highlights their expertise in software development, project management, and business analysis.
Paul Batty began their education at Queen Elizabeth II Secondary School from 1982 to 1986. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any particular field. Following this, they attended King Edward VI Sixth Form College from 1986 to 1988 and obtained their A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science.
Continuing their education, Paul enrolled at the University of the West of England from 1991 to 1994. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Financial Services.
In 2015, Paul pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills. Paul attended Percipient Studios to become an Umbraco Certified Developer, specializing in building web sites with Umbraco.
Furthermore, Paul attained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance in October 2017.
