Cyril Guyard has extensive experience in scientific research and leadership roles. Cyril is currently the Chief Scientific Officer at BIOASTER, a health-related Technology Research Institute (TRI) in France. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Chief Scientific Officer at BIOASTER, where they managed research programs and played a crucial role in the establishment of the institute.

Before joining BIOASTER, Cyril worked as the Head of Technology Innovation Center Biological Repository Network and Biomarker Discovery. Cyril also served as a Primary Investigator at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, where they conducted research on Legionella species and studied the molecular interactions of Legionella pneumophila with host cells.

Cyril's career also includes a role as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and a Group Leader - Principal Investigator at Public Health Ontario. Cyril started their professional journey as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health and began their research career as a Research Fellow at INSERM. Cyril has also worked as a Doctoral Researcher and Scientist at Institut Pasteur.

Cyril Guyard has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, which they obtained from the University of Bourgogne from 1989 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg from 1996 to 1997. Cyril then continued their education at the University of Lille I & Pasteur Institute of Lille, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology and Health Sciences from 1998 to 2003.
