Evgenia Ovchinnikova

Evgenia Ovchinnikova is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in foreign economic activity and government affairs. Currently serving as the Head of Foreign Economic Activity Support at BIOCAD since January 2021, Evgenia has previously held the position of Government Affairs Manager at BAT from October 2017 to September 2020, where responsibilities included risk assessment of legislative initiatives, proposal development for legislative changes, and collaboration with industry representatives and government authorities. Additionally, Evgenia has a strong background in trade negotiations from tenure at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, where roles included Consultant, Senior Expert, and Leading Expert in the Department for Trade Negotiations, focusing on free trade agreements and cross-functional collaboration with governmental bodies. Educational qualifications include a Specialist degree in Trade Policy from the State University - Higher School of Economics, professional language retraining at the Center of Foreign Languages, and a recent degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
