Andrew Ellis has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and food industries. Andrew started their career at Biocatalysts Ltd in 2002 as an Enzyme Development Scientist. Later, they worked at Fayrefield Foods Ltd as a Technical Sales Manager before returning to Biocatalysts Ltd as a New Product Development Manager in 2009. Andrew then joined The University of Manchester in 2006 as a Team Leader/Program Manager, focusing on biocatalysis development. In 2013, Ellis returned to Biocatalysts Ltd as the Technical and Compliance Director, responsible for delivering new products and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. Currently, they hold the position of VP Fermentation BU & Technical Director, where they lead operational excellence and new product development for fermentation products at Biocatalysts Ltd.
Andrew Ellis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, General from the University of Leeds from 1996 to 1999. Andrew later pursued a PhD in Biochemistry at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1999 to 2001.
