Winnie Pong has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Winnie started their career as an Intern - QC technician at International Specialty Products, where they conducted quality control testing. Winnie then worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by a role as a Neurobiology Signaling Graduate Researcher at Boston University.
After completing their education, Winnie joined The BALSA Group as a Project Manager and Consultant, where they conducted market analysis and identified partnerships for a startup. Winnie also worked as a CNS Tumor Immunology Postdoctoral Scientist and Staff Scientist at Washington University School of Medicine, where they conducted research on neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory diseases.
Continuing their career, Winnie worked as an Analyst at SCIMALS and as a Lecturer at Boston University. Winnie then joined Cohen Veterans Bioscience Inc as a Scientific Programs Manager Consultant. Following this, they moved on to EBSCO Information Services, where they worked as a Medical Writer, critically appraising clinical research and synthesizing evidence for clinical reference topics.
Most recently, Winnie worked at BioCentury Inc as the Director of Data & Analytics, where they were responsible for overseeing data and analytics operations.
Winnie Pong earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2002. Following that, in 2003, they pursued a Ph.D. in Neurobiology at Boston University, which they completed in 2009. Prior to their Ph.D., they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Science in Marine Biology from James Cook University in 2003.
