Janet Torio

Janet Torio is a retired Clinical Laboratory Scientist with extensive experience in the field. Janet most recently worked at Biocept, Inc. from October 2018 until April 2023, holding the position of Clinical Laboratory Scientist III before retiring. Prior to that, they worked at Human Longevity, Inc. as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist from June 2017 to September 2018. Janet also worked at Trovagene, Inc. as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist from August 2015 to June 2017. Janet's earlier experience includes roles at Prometheus Laboratories Inc., where they served as Team Lead and Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist from 2001 to July 2015. Before joining Prometheus, they worked at the Scripps Reference Laboratory at The Scripps Research Institute as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist from 1986 to 2001. Janet's career began at Fresno Community Hospital in 1979, where they started as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Trainee and later progressed to the roles of Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Lab Assistant.

Janet Torio holds a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from CSU, Fresno. In addition, they have obtained an A.S.C.P. License in 1981 and has been licensed as a California State Clinical Lab Scientist since 1981.
