Mohamed Ali Abol Hassan is a Principal Scientist at Biocon since April 2018, overseeing downstream processing (DSP) technical activities and coordinating with management and various departments for process development and improvements. Previously, Mohamed held a Research Fellowship at Griffith University, focusing on the isolation and characterization of lectins from fungi, and served as a Development Engineer at Inno Biologics Sdn Bhd, where responsibilities included developing filtration processes for the purification of antibodies. Early career experience includes a stint as a Graduate Research Assistant at Inno Biologics Sdn Bhd and as a Tutor/Grader at the International Islamic University Malaysia. Mohamed holds a Master’s degree in Chemical & Process Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical & Biotechnology from the International Islamic University Malaysia.
