Agnieszka Lewandowska

Regulated Products Scientist at BioFire Defense

Agnieszka Lewandowska has extensive experience in scientific research and analysis. Agnieszka started their career as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Protein Biochemistry at the University of Gdansk in 2006. From 2007 to 2014, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Utah, where they focused on studying mitochondrial dynamics and regulation in yeast and mammalian cells. At the University of Utah School of Medicine, they served as a Research Associate from 2014 to 2019, studying neurological and metabolic phenotypes of murine mitochondrial Rho GTPase Miro1 deficiency. In addition to their research responsibilities, they also managed procurement, oversaw research technicians, and maintained animal research and biosafety protocols. From 2019 to 2022, Agnieszka worked as a Research Specialist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, contributing to various research projects. Most recently, they joined BioFire Defense in 2022 as a Regulated Products Scientist.

Agnieszka Lewandowska pursued their education in the field of biochemistry and biotechnology. Agnieszka obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Gdansk, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Later on, they went on to earn their PhD in Biochemistry from the same university, completing their postgraduate studies between 2002 and 2006.
