Begona Ruiz-Perez

Begona Ruiz-Perez is a seasoned professional in the field of life sciences, currently serving as Head of Corporate Development Strategy and Operations at Biogen since July 2012. Ruiz-Perez has held various leadership roles at Biogen, including Scientific Lead in the Office of the CEO, Portfolio Director for Neurodegeneration, and Director of Medical Writing. Prior to Biogen, Ruiz-Perez worked as a Preclinical Development Consultant at BRP Consulting and served as Senior Director of Preclinical Research at Eyegate Pharmaceuticals. Academic qualifications include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Immunology from Harvard Medical School and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where Ruiz-Perez also obtained B.S. degrees in Food Science and Technology, as well as Pharmacy.
