Thomas Balanant

Thomas Balanant has extensive experience in quality operations and project management within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Head of Integrated Quality Operations at Biogen since June 2017, Thomas has held various leadership roles including Head of Quality Engineering and Plant Engineering Manager. Prior to Biogen, Thomas worked at Baxalta from June 2015 to May 2017 as a Senior Project Leader, managing site capital investments and leading the site obsolescence program. Previous experience at Baxter International Inc. from February 2007 to May 2015 involved roles such as Project Leader for CAPEX and Utilities, as well as Site Engineer and Energy Manager. Thomas holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical & Biotechnologies with a focus on project management, process, and quality from Ecole de Biologie Industrielle, completed between 2002 and 2006.
