Lauren Yu

Lauren Yu is a data analyst at Biokind Analytics, collaborating with Texas healthcare nonprofits on data science projects while utilizing Python and R to manage extensive datasets. Experience includes leadership of a data science team at Candlelighters, design of a satire section for Rice University's student newspaper, and a data science analyst internship at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where Lauren developed automation scripts for large datasets. As an undergraduate researcher at both Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine, Lauren conducted significant studies on healthcare access and genetic diseases, respectively. Additional roles include a teaching assistantship in a computational thinking course and a science writing internship, enhancing communication of scientific research. Lauren is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Rice University, expected in 2025.
