General Summary and Purpose:

The Senior Tax Manager position will drive the construction and maintenance of robust tax infrastructure in a multi-entity, multi-currency large, accelerated SEC filer. This position is core to ensuring the company’s compliance with domestic and international tax laws. This role will lead our tax and compliance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain efficient and effective tax compliance processes to optimize resource utilization and ensure both accurate and promptly filed returns
• Create and maintain tax compliance internal policies and documentation
• Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns in collaboration with the Company’s external tax consulting firms
• Manage and review the Company’s annual and quarterly tax provision in collaboration with the Company’s external tax consulting firm
• Support and complete Nexus studies and associated compliance and registrations with sales, use, B&O and income tax filings
• Monitor impact of changes in tax law on the company's compliance obligations and document analysis of technical accounting on tax issues
• Coordinate with external tax experts regarding R&D tax credit studies
• Coordinate with external tax experts on tax compliance in foreign jurisdictions, including transfer pricing studies
• Manage tax audits, including responding to requests for information in a timely and accurate manner, preparing responses to proposed adjustments, resolving tax disputes, and bringing audits to efficient and favorable conclusions
• Coordinate with third party insurance brokers to provide policy information to various stakeholders both internally and externally
• Oversee preparation of insurance applications annually
• Assist payroll team with 401K audit
• Complete organization requests for business applications, government surveys and vendor requirements

Job Specifications:

 Required Experience:

• Bachelor or Associates Degree with commensurable experience in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 5+ years of professional experience with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Deep tax and compliance expertise
• Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to handle
  sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Preferred Experience: 

• Public company experience in a similar role

• Experience with Avalara and NetSuite

The US base salary range for this position at full-time is $121,344 - $200,185 per year.  Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, location, and market competitive benchmarks.  Individual pay within a level is determined by work location (including geographic pay zone region), job related skills, experience, education, and training. 

This range represents the full compensation range for this position, with consideration given to experience, skills, and qualifications. Typically, new hires are brought in at or near the midpoint of the range to allow for future growth and advancement within the role.
