Isiri Perera

Isiri Perera is a Research Scientist specializing in Cultured Therapies at BiomeBank since December 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD Researcher at the University of Newcastle from August 2017 to April 2021, where Isiri focused on microalgal-bacterial co-cultures and conducted extensive microbiological analyses. Isiri worked as a Research and Development Scientist in Microbiology at Link Natural Products (Pvt) Ltd from July 2013 to July 2017, leading quality management systems and developing methods for wastewater treatment and microbiological analysis. Additionally, Isiri has experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Kelaniya and completed an internship in microbiology at CEYLON GRAIN ELEVATORS PLC. Isiri holds a PhD in Environmental Remediation from the University of Newcastle and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Microbiology from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
