Victoria Girard

Victoria Girard is an accomplished professional in the field of microbiology and biosciences, currently serving as the Vice President of US R&D Microbiology Biosciences and a microbial identification global expert at bioMérieux since September 2009. Responsibilities include supporting marketing initiatives, managing microbial taxonomy across identification databases, and representing bioMérieux in various international organizations. Victoria has extensive management experience, having led the automated ID/AST department and contributed significantly to R&D projects, including the development of microbial identification products using Mass Spectrometry. With a strong background in scientific marketing and collaboration within healthcare sectors, Victoria has authored 19 publications and holds 4 patents. Educationally, Victoria holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Université de Montréal and a degree in Food Sciences and Technology from AgroParisTech.
