Zachary Holmes, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Director of Product Development at BIOMILQ, where responsibilities encompass product strategy, analytical specification, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and scientific communications, along with managing partnership strategies. Previously, Zachary held multiple roles at BIOMILQ, including Product Development Team Lead and Bioinformatics Scientist, leading projects in bioinformatics and computational biology for the human mammary epithelial cell biomanufacturing platform. Prior experience includes a Bioinformatics Consultant position at The Bioinformatics CRO and a PhD candidacy at Duke University, focusing on the gut microbiota's influence on host inflammation and dietary fiber's effects. Early career roles include research at the CDC, where characterizations of microbiomes of Rickettsia vectors were conducted, as well as various research positions during undergraduate studies, including at the University of Tasmania. Zachary holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Duke University and dual bachelor's degrees in Ecology and Biology from the University of Georgia.
