Cinzia Silvestri has a long history of working in the biotechnology and nanoelectronics fields. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Terahertz Sensing Group of Technische Universiteit Delft, and a PhD Candidate researching thermal management solutions based on carbon-related materials. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Part-Time Research Assistant at the Institute for Nanoelectronics of Technische Universität München. In 2017, they founded and became CEO of Bi/ond, a biotech company that harnesses the power of Microelectronics to drive Biological Innovation. Under their guidance, Bi/ond became a multi-awarded company, able to attract over €1M of non-dilutive funds and an investment of €250K, and grew the team from one to six employees. In 2021, they became a Member of the Board of Inspiration for the Global School for Entrepreneurship, and in 2022, they joined Nano4Society as a Board Member.
Cinzia Silvestri has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Microelectronics from Delft University of Technology (2012-2016), a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Rome Tor Vergata (2009-2012), and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Rome Tor Vergata (2005-2009).
