David Grayden is a prominent academic and researcher in the field of neural engineering, currently serving as the Clifford Chair of Neural Engineering and Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne since September 2006. With extensive experience at the Bionics Institute as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow since February 1997, and as an Honorary Research Scientist at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne since May 2013, David has significantly contributed to the field. David completed a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne from 1992 to 1999 and holds both a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science, with a focus on Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, respectively, obtained from the University of Melbourne between 1987 and 1991.
