Nimra Ajmal

Nimra Ajmal has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Nimra started their career as a Sales Assistant at Miss Selfridge in 2018. Nimra then worked as a Customer Services Agent and later as a Marking Administrator at AQA.

In 2016, Nimra became a University Student at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they developed skills in Java, Swift, and Android app development. Nimra also served as a Peer Mentor during their time as a student.

After completing their studies, Nimra joined Co-op as a Back End Developer, where they utilized Python and Django for backend development and worked on front-end tasks using HTML and CSS.

Nimra then worked as a Full Stack Developer at The Prince's Trust, where they created a blended learning website using Laravel and Vue.

Nimra's next role was as a Software Engineer at Boohoo Group PLC, where they focused on improving the shipping app by using React.js, Node, and Typescript.

Nimra then joined The Very Group as a Data Automation Engineer. Their responsibilities included converting a Java Serenity BDD framework to a Python Behave BDD framework and managing a testing team. Nimra also created test strategies and implemented a shift-left testing approach.

Nimra has recently started working at Biorelate Ltd. as a Software Developer in Test.

Throughout their career, Nimra has gained experience in various programming languages, frameworks, and testing methodologies.

Nimra Ajmal pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Forensics and Security from the Manchester Metropolitan University, starting in 2016 and graduating in 2019. Nimra then obtained additional certifications: a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Professional certification from Scrum.org in January 2021, and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022.
