Nick Hoskins has a diverse work experience in the field of viticulture and business development. Nick started their career in 1986 as a Vineyard Manager at Martinborough Vineyard, where they worked until 1998. Nick then joined Riversun Nursery Ltd as a Consultant Viticulturist, providing advice on grapevine varieties, clones, rootstocks, and pest and disease management.
In 2005, Nick became an Independent Business Owner at Vine Managers Wairarapa Ltd, where they managed their own business. Nick continued in this role until 2020.
From 2009 to 2015, Nick worked as a Viticulturist and Research Project Manager at New Zealand Winegrowers, where they focused on eliminating and controlling GLRaV-3, a viral disease affecting grapevines.
In 2015, Nick joined Bragato Research Institute as a Research Project Manager/Viticulturist, leading the Vineyard Ecosystems program. Their work involved collecting baseline data from vineyards with different management regimes and analyzing the impact of reducing chemical applications on vineyard outcomes and environmental footprint.
Currently, Nick is a Business Development professional at BioScout, starting in 2022. Their role involves expanding the company's presence in New Zealand.

Nick Hoskins attended the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture from 1986 to 1991. During their time there, they earned a National Diploma of Horticulture with a focus on fruit production and viticulture.
