Jeff Blackinton

Jeff Blackinton is a seasoned professional in the field of genomics and molecular diagnostics with extensive experience in product development and scientific research. Currently serving as the Director of New Products & Services at BioSkryb Genomics since December 2020, Jeff has previously held positions at Celldom, Inc. as Principal Scientist, and at Becton Dickinson as Senior Scientist. Notable accomplishments include leading the development of automated RNA extraction methods and managing various projects focused on assay design and molecular diagnostics. Jeff's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Karolinska Institutet and a BA in Biochemistry from Rice University, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University, where innovative genomic methodologies were developed resulting in multiple publications and funding awards.
