Brittany Whitley

Brittany Whitley, PhD, currently serves as the Manager of Talent & Workforce Strategy at BioSTL since June 2023. Prior to this role, Brittany was the Executive Director at MOST Policy Initiative, Inc. from September 2020 to June 2023, and also held the title of Policy Fellow focused on Education & Workforce Development. Brittany's academic journey includes a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington, where research on the relationship between stress, disease, and mitochondrial networks produced several peer-reviewed manuscripts. Additional experience encompasses significant positions such as Policy Director for the University of Washington Graduate and Professional Student Senate and various engagement and communication roles at both Pacific Science Center and Seattle Aquarium, along with a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Brittany's expertise spans project management, science communication, and policy development within educational and research contexts.
