Saara Nordenström has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Saara currently holds the position of Director of Communications at Biotage, starting in January 2023. Previously, they worked at Cytiva as a Global Product Marketing Manager from April 2020 to December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GE Healthcare in various roles, including Global Product Marketing Manager from January 2019 to April 2020, and Global Senior Communications Manager from September 2013 to January 2019. Before joining GE Healthcare, Saara worked at Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a Public Relations Consultant, freelancing for the agency between 2011 and 2012. Saara'sresponsibilities included creating communication strategies and various communication materials for international B2B clients. Saara also worked at Nokia (known as Nokia Siemens Networks during their tenure) as a Corporate Communications Specialist, where they executed global communication campaigns and drove media relations. Additionally, they contributed to the creation of the company's global sustainability strategy and messaging. Saara started their career at S&P Global Market Intelligence as a Research Associate, focusing on profiling and analyzing Nordic investment companies. Prior to that, they had an internship and later became a Producer at MTV Networks, Europe in London, where they wrote and produced news broadcasts and music shows.
Saara Nordenström completed their education with a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University, which took place from 2011 to 2013. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Social Science (M.Soc.Sci) degree in Journalism from the University of Tampere between 2005 and 2009. Saara also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Saara has obtained additional certifications, including a Mini MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson in July 2021 and completion of the Global Leadership Development Center's Influential Leadership and Innovation program from GE Crotonville in February 2018.
