Conrad Eckhardt has a strong background in intellectual property, with experience in various high-level positions. Conrad is currently the Vice President of Corporate Intellectual Property at BIOTRONIK, where they oversee a globally-distributed IP team and handles all patent and trademark matters worldwide. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Intellectual Property at Leica Biosystems, a global leader in tissue-based cancer diagnostics. Conrad also worked at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co KG, where they held multiple roles related to patents, including European Patent Attorney. Conrad started their career as a European Patent Attorney at Procter & Gamble.

Conrad Eckhardt earned their Abitur from Peutinger Gymnasium Augsburg in 1991. Conrad then went on to obtain a Diploma in Chemistry from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg between 1991 and 1997. In 1994, they had a brief academic stint at the University of Pretoria in Chemistry. Conrad Eckhardt pursued higher education and completed their PhD in Chemistry from J W Goethe University Frankfurt from 1997 to 2000. Recently, in 2018, they received the European Patent Litigation Certificate from Ceipi/University of Strasbourg in the field of Law.
