Karolynn Halpert has been working in the medical field since 2009. Karolynn began their career as the Director of Emergency Services at Clinica Soma. During their time there, they were responsible for quality management, budgeting, recruitment, and special projects with a focus on improving quality of care. In 2017, they became the Founding Chief Medical Officer of BioXcellerator, a stem cell clinic and lab. In this role, they directed a team to design treatment protocols based on mesenchymal stem cells from donated umbilical cords. Karolynn also directs a team of physicians who treat patients, and supervises the operation of the in-house lab and stem cell bank. Additionally, Karolynn collaborates with leading scientists worldwide on research studies to continue innovation in the field of regenerative medicine.
Karolynn Halpert received their Doctor of Medicine - MD from Universidad CES in 2003. Karolynn then went on to pursue a Specialization in Emergency Medicine from the same university, which they completed in 2009. After that, they obtained a Specialization in IPS Management from Universidad CES in 2010. In 2012, Karolynn Halpert completed their Master in Health Management from Universidad CES. Currently, they are pursuing a PhD in Biotechnology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
