Tony Martineau has over two decades of experience in health and safety management. Tony currently serves as the Senior Health and Safety Director at Bird Construction, where they lead and supports a team of 50+ safety professionals across the nation. Tony'smain focus is on implementing innovative strategies and tactics in HSE technology, human performance, and culture.

Prior to their current role, Tony worked as the National Health and Safety Director at Bird Construction, where they developed and maintained OHS programs, policies, and procedures across all districts to ensure standardized practices. Tony also worked closely with operations and technology teams and prioritized the career development of safety professionals within the organization.

Before joining Bird Construction, Tony served as the Health and Safety Director for the Heavy Civil division, where they led a dedicated team of professionals and gained invaluable experience in the field.

Tony's previous work experience also includes roles at Dyno Nobel as the Principal Health and Safety Manager and at Air Canada Technical Services as the Heavy Maintenance Health and Safety Director. Tony began their career at Cascades as an Operation Director.

With a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree and Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification, Tony Martineau brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their role in health and safety management.

Tony Martineau has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Tony also holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, both from UQAM. Additionally, Tony Martineau is Lean and Six Sigma Certified from Villanova University.
