Mariana Ortega

Mariana Ortega possesses extensive experience in higher education and customer service roles, currently serving as a Barista at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, Inc. since March 2024. Prior to this, Mariana held significant leadership positions in residence life, including Assistant Director of Residence Life at the University of California, San Diego, and Residence Life Coordinator at UC Irvine, where responsibilities included staff supervision and community development for a residential complex of approximately 300 students. Additionally, Mariana contributed as a Community Director at the University of San Diego and gained valuable experience as a University Programs ACUHO-I Intern at New York University. Mariana holds a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Literary Journalism from UC Irvine.
