Wasif Zia

Wasif Zia has over 14 years of work experience. Wasif currently works at Birdy Ventures as the Associate Director/Head of Engineering, where they provide strategic, technical, managerial, and operational leadership for the Engineering team. Wasif oversees the design and implementation of strategic initiatives, recruitment and training of technical engineers and project staff, and monitors budgets.

Before joining Birdy Ventures, Wasif worked at QuinLogic GmBH as a Software Product Consultant for a brief period.

Prior to that, they worked at EXCEED IT Services, where they held the role of Service Delivery Excellence from November 2018 to February 2023. Wasif was also a Project Manager at the same company from January 2015 to February 2023.

Earlier in their career, Wasif worked at 1 to N (Pvt) Ltd as a Project Manager from February 2011 to December 2014. Wasif was responsible for overseeing the company's IT infrastructure and leading various teams on multiple projects, including large scale government projects.

Wasif's career started at Solution Weavers (Pvt) Ltd as a Web Developer from July 2009 to January 2011.

Wasif Zia completed their education in Computer Science at the Comsats Institute of Information Technology. Wasif earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from 2006 to 2010, followed by a Master of Science (MS) in Software Engineering from 2011 to 2013.
