Philippa Foord

Philippa Foord is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Birmingham City University since November 2021, specializing in planning, teaching, and assessing level 5-7 modules for Undergraduate BSc Secondary Education with QTS, Teach First, and PGCE Science Trainees, and serving as module lead for level 5 and level 6 modules. In addition, Philippa has been an Examiner for Pearson since May 2016 and is currently a long-term science supply teacher at Our Lady of the Magnificat. From September 2022 to July 2023, Philippa worked as an Education Training Consultant and Professional Mentor at BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy, guiding unqualified teachers toward QTS. Previous teaching positions include roles as a Teacher of Science (Chemistry) at WMG Academy Trust and Ashlawn School Academy Trust from 2017 to 2021 and 2009 to 2016, respectively. Philippa holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same institution.
