Andre Porter

Andre Porter is a seasoned music professional and nonprofit leader with extensive experience in volunteer management and music direction. Currently serving as the Director of Volunteer and Support Services at Birmingham Green since March 2012, Andre develops and evaluates volunteer programs that enhance the well-being of residents. Concurrently, involvement in various church music roles includes positions as Organist and Pianist at First Mount Zion Baptist Church, House Band Keyboardist at Gospel at Jirani, and Music Director at Antioch Baptist Church. Previously, Andre held the role of Musical Director at First Baptist Church of Manassas, where leadership resulted in significant growth of the Young Adult Choir. Andre's musical journey began at Oak Shade Baptist Church, starting as a Pianist and progressing to Musical Director/Lead Musician, contributing to numerous special events and services over several decades. Andre received education at Northern Virginia Community College from 2015 to 2016.
