Peter Tonge

Peter Tonge is an experienced professional in the field of stem cell biology, currently serving as the Director of the PSC platform at BlueRock Therapeutics since October 2017. In this role, Peter is responsible for the development of technologies and GMP compliant procedures for clinical grade pluripotent stem cell lines and oversees the generation of genetically engineered PSC lines in alignment with cleanroom manufacturing and regulatory standards. Prior to this position, Peter held various roles at CCRM, including Associate Director, Senior Manager, and Manager of the PSC platform from September 2016 to September 2017. Additional experience includes serving as a Scientific Associate at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre from July 2014 to August 2016 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto from December 2008 to July 2014. Peter earned a PhD in Stem Cell Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology from The University of Sheffield, completing these degrees in 2007 and 2003, respectively.
