Ken Whitman has extensive work experience in the field of visual effects, with a focus on leading roles. Ken currently works as the Lead Visual Effects Artist at Bit Reactor, LLC since September 2021.
From 2015 to 2021, Ken worked at Sparkypants Studios as a Lead Visual Effects Artist. During their time there, they designed and created all visual effects for the game "Dropzone" and was responsible for designing a proprietary visual effects editor and pipeline. Ken also contributed to "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" game.
Prior to that, Ken worked at ZeniMax Online Studios from 2013 to 2015 as a Lead Visual Effects Artist. Ken managed a team of up to 8 artists, provided mentoring and artistic direction, and collaborated with various internal teams to create and manage efficient content creation pipelines for "The Elder Scrolls Online" game.
From 2012 to 2013, Ken was a Senior Visual FX Artist at Epic Games / Impossible Studios, where they collaborated with gameplay, design, and engineering teams to implement performance-friendly visual effects for iOS mobile platforms. Ken also provided environmental visual effects for "Gears of War: Judgment."
Ken's experience also includes working as a Lead Visual Effects Artist at Big Huge Games/38 Studios from 2010 to 2012, where they contributed to "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning." Ken started their career as a Senior Visual Effects Artist at Day 1 Studios from 1998 to 2010, where they worked on "F.E.A.R."
Ken Whitman attended PennWest Edinboro from 1993 to 1998, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design.
