Adrian-Stefan Popescu

Adrian-Stefan Popescu is a highly experienced security researcher with over 15 years at Bitdefender, currently serving as Principal Security Researcher Lead, focusing on improving technology performance and analyzing the malware landscape to develop new product features. Previous roles include Senior Team Lead, Team Lead, Technical Lead, and Malware Researcher, where Adrian-Stefan managed teams and contributed to the advancement of multi-layered protection technologies and automated malware detection. Additionally, Adrian-Stefan served as a Teaching Assistant at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, instructing various computer science courses. Adrian-Stefan holds a Master of Science in Distributed Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași.
