Jon Ball

Software Engineer IV (staff), Prime at BitGo

Jon Ball has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jon is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer (Lead) at BitGo, where they work on Prime Network using technologies such as Typescript Node, Postgresql, Golang, and Kafka, with a focus on pure functional programming.

Before joining BitGo, Jon worked at AQR Capital Management as a Vice President in Portfolio Implementation Engineering from January 2022 to April 2022. Prior to that, they were an Associate in the same department from June 2019 to January 2022.

Jon also gained experience as a Quantitative Developer at White Marigold Capital from August 2017 to June 2019. Jon co-founded and served as the CTO of Outt, a company they started in January 2016 and left in February 2018.

Earlier in their career, Jon worked as a Software Engineer at Advanced Acoustic Concepts from June 2016 to August 2017. Jon had also interned at the company as a Software Engineering Intern for two months in July 2015.
