Kelly Zitzmann

Kelly Zitzmann is the current General Counsel at Bitly. Prior to their current role, Kelly served as the Chief Legal Officer at Smartly.io from May 2021 to July 2022. In this role, Kelly was responsible for global legal, compliance, corporate governance, data privacy, equity management and workplace operations for multinational across 12+ countries. Kelly was also a commercially minded business partner supporting organic growth, M&A and all things legal and compliance at high growth scale up.

From October 2020 to May 2021, Kelly served as Smartly.io's General Counsel and from March 2020 to October 2020, they served as Head of Legal - Americas. Prior to that, Kelly served as Legal Counsel + Head of People (interim) - Americas from June 2019 to March 2020. From May 2018 to June 2019, Kelly served as US Legal Counsel at Smartly.io and prior to that, they served as General Counsel at Axiom from January 2000 to July 2017.

Kelly has also served as President of Zitzmann Consulting LLC from June 1998 to May 2018 and as General Counsel at Erie Plastics from January 1997 to December 2003. Kelly began their legal career as an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates from September 1993 to January 1997.

Kelly Zitzmann has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Cornell University, and is cum laude from Brooklyn Law School.
