Faisal Khalid

Faisal Khalid has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Faisal is currently the Founder of Bits, an app that has financially assisted over 350,000 people in the UK and US. Prior to this, Faisal founded Paysnapp, an online money transfer service for low-income migrant workers, which was later acquired by VFD Bank. Faisal also worked as a Product Operations Manager at American Express, where they provided guidance on international money transfer and gained insights into global operations. Additionally, Faisal served as a Product Manager at Paysafe Group and was an Entrepreneur in Residence/Co-Founder at Lazada Group in Malaysia. Faisal was also an Advisor to the CEO at Abu Dhabi Family Office, working on various M&A and strategy projects. Faisal began their career as an Associate in Private Equity at Istithmar, where they evaluated fintech and bank investments. Faisal also worked as an Associate in Corporate & Investment Banking at Citi, leading corporate finance transactions in emerging markets while concurrently pursuing their CFA certification.

Faisal Khalid completed their undergraduate education from Harvard University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree in Economics from 1998 to 2002. Later, they pursued their finance studies at the CFA Institute, where they obtained the CFA Charterholder designation from 2004 to 2006. Faisal furthered their education with an MBA degree at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2006 to 2008.
