Isidoro García Urquieta has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Isidoro currently holds the position of Data Science Vice President at Bitso since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Data Science at Bitso from August 2020 to July 2021.

Urquieta also has teaching experience at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Isidoro served as a Lecturer in Data Science, teaching topics such as high dimensional inference, predictive analytics, regression, classification, and causal inference, among others. Isidoro started this role in January 2021 and continues to hold it.

Before their current positions, Urquieta worked at Grupo Financiero Banorte, where they held the role of Director of Analytics, Modelling, and Experimentation from July 2019 to August 2020. Prior to that, they were the Deputy Director of Analytics, Experimentation, and Behavioral Economics at the same company from July 2018 to July 2019.

Additionally, Urquieta has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Lead Data Analyst at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, where they worked on various projects related to aid, counterinsurgency, and development impact evaluation.

Isidoro has also worked as a Short Term Consultant at the World Bank Group, focusing on macroeconomic impact evaluation and building a macroeconomic model for a speed of justice reform in Senegal.

Urquieta started their career as an Economist at Banco de México and later worked as a Transfer Pricing Assessor at Salles Sainz - Grant Thornton, S.C.

Throughout their career, Urquieta has demonstrated their expertise in data science, economics, and teaching, with a strong focus on topics such as regression, classification, causal inference, and macroeconomic impact evaluation.

Isidoro García Urquieta holds a Master of Public Policy degree in Data Science from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Isidoro also obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Additionally, they completed a diploma in Restricted Economic Time Series Forecasting, specializing in Econometrics, at the same institution.
