Phuong Black

Phuong Black has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Phuong is currently serving as the Director and Head of Fund Operations at Bitwise Asset Management since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Operations Manager at the same company from January 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining Bitwise Asset Management, Phuong worked at BlackRock, where they held two Vice President positions. As the Transition Coordinator from July 2014 to May 2021, they managed a team and facilitated asset transfers between fund managers and clients. In their role as the Broker Dealer Services Vice President from December 2007 to July 2014, they oversaw important projects, collaborated with other service management teams, and drove operating margin growth.

Phuong also gained experience at Barclays Global Investors, where they served as an Associate in Securities Lending from November 2006 to December 2007. There, they managed projects, maintained relationships with service providers, and ensured the delivery of contracted services.

Earlier in their career, Phuong worked at Lawrence Johnson & Associates as a Daily Valuation Analyst II from January 2005 to October 2006. Phuong ensured compliance with retirement plan policies, produced communication materials, and trained analysts.

Phuong'sfirst professional experience was as a Credit Manager at Wells Fargo Financial from July 2003 to December 2004. Phuong analyzed financial circumstances, built client relationships, and achieved top sales performance.
