Gary Basin

Gary Basin is a finance professional with extensive experience in advisory roles and entrepreneurship. As Co-Founder of Pineapple Mortgage since September 2018, Gary has also served as an Advisor for Dapi and Bitwyre since 2022 and 2019, respectively. Previously, Gary was a Technical Advisor at Reserve from January 2018 to July 2022 and an Advisor, Co-Founder, and Managing Partner at Kapital Trading from May 2009 to January 2021. Earlier career experiences include a Software Engineer and Trader position at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. and Lead Engineer and Trader at Gertsman Capital. Gary began a career in finance as a Self-funded Proprietary Trader at Assent LLC. Gary holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, earned in 2009.
