Julia Smith

Julia Smith is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in local government, currently serving as Chief Executive at Blaby District Council since October 2021. Prior to this role, Julia held the position of Director of Communities and Wellbeing at Harborough District Council from January 2020 to October 2021. Julia's career began at East Northamptonshire Council, where tenure spanned from May 2005 to January 2020, during which Julia served as Head of Customer and Community Services and Environmental Health Manager. Julia holds an MSc in Occupational Health and Safety from Nottingham Trent University and a BSc in Environmental Health from Middlesex University.
