Melina Tsui has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Melina'smost recent role is as a Client Strategy Director at Black Swan Data, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Kantar as a Client Director from 2016 to 2021, where they led cross-functional research teams to deliver strategic insights on brand and marketing strategy. Melina also had experience in regional custom consumer research for Google.
Before their time at Kantar, Melina worked at EY Sweeney as a Senior Insights Consultant for a brief period in 2016. Prior to that, they held multiple positions at Nielsen, including Senior Manager and Research Manager. In these roles, they managed marketing and advertising effectiveness research studies, conducted brand uplift studies, and was involved in marketing mix modeling research. Melina was also responsible for both client-facing and analytics-driven tasks.
Melina's earlier work experience includes roles at NM Incite, a Nielsen and McKinsey Company, where they served as a Research Manager and Senior Analyst/Project Manager. In these roles, they utilized social media research expertise to develop strategic insights and recommendations for Fortune 500 companies. Melina also led training and mentoring efforts for an offshore team, which eventually led to their promotion to Project Manager.
Melina's career began with Teach for America, where they worked as a Corps Member/Teacher from 2007 to 2010, teaching 5th-grade students in Harlem and exceeding class goals in Math mastery.
Melina Tsui completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, studying from 2003 to 2007. In 2020, they undertook a Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson, specializing in Brand Management.
