John Doherty is an accomplished chef and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the culinary industry. As the Chef and Owner of BLACKBARN Restaurant since September 2015, John has created an American dining experience that emphasizes local, artisanal foods in a rustic yet modern setting. In addition, John founded the Heavenly Harvest Foundation in November 2015, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nutritious food to those in need. John also serves as Principal at John Doherty Inc since February 2009 and previously held the position of Executive Chef at the Waldorf Astoria New York from June 1978 to February 2009. John is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, having attended from 1976 to 1978.
